The Forty Foot in Dublin, once exclusive to men, is now a popular bathing spot for all genders and ages. It features the iconic Martello tower from James Joyce's Ulysses and has been a favourite sea-swimming spot for Dubliners for over 250 years. Originally a male-only area, it attracted nudists due to its isolation. Advocacy in the 1970s opened it to everyone, though a sign reading 'Gentlemen's Bathing Place' remains.
